Didn't I Say the French Do It Better?

Its about time we step up our game because the French have done it again...made us look ridiculous, that is. The upcoming issue of French Elle is stripped down to the basics. Elle will feature eight French celebrities without make up or any retouching, almost in an effort to emphasize that beauty is skin deep. Now let me explain.
We've have collectively become a society that has plucked, pulled, stained, dyed our way to beautiful (and not one of us can deny it), fleeing from what beauty, what natural beauty we have inherently. April's Elle issue reminds us that if our notion of beauty is to be constructed out of our outward appearance, then so be it, but let us measure our beauty in its most natural form, in the skin we were born in.
