Why It's Better I Stay Busy
Did I really just sit for 1:55 minutes and watch this?
(Although I did skip forward a tad) Lily really does make hair flipping seriously glamorous.
If I did this my boyf would just complain that my hair was hitting him in the face.
Not a sexy image.

Not Even Wrinkle Cream Will Help Now
image: spinearth
Well, my oh my have I been absent from the blogosphere. And to be honest, I'm not entirely sure when I'll be able to return to a normally functioning blogger, or a normal functioning person for that matter! In recent months, as my graduation date creeps closer, I have become increasing focused on doing everything and anything to prepare myself for that time. Work, interning, studying...simply stretching myself too thin. Or graying my hair too early (thank god that isn't actually true).
Sooo, as a special treat to myself, I am planning a fabulous trip to Coachella 2010. And looking at pictures like the above get me more than excited for my little inner 1970's hippie chic time warp.

When Will It Ever End? II
image: wallstreetjournal
Another story to add to the demise of the fashion world is that of the future of the front row.
The front row has always seemed to maintain itself as a sort of dreamland, unattainable to all except for the very spectacular fashion elite. The division between said spectacular somebody's and the rest who wish they were those spectacular somebody's could seem discriminatory, sure. But it allows for a sort of romanticism and yet, order within the fashion community that I am in full support of.
However, it seems that it is now possible to buy yourself into that echelon of fashion society. With companies selling off front row tickets, any "fashion nobody"* can land themselves a seat usually occupied by the fashionably credentialed. Not only is this changing the shape of the fashion show prestige itself, but it is also feeds the notion that fashion is unattainable to those without a silver spoon. As a starving student, I like to think that someday my merits within the industry could get me into that front row. Not the money in my pocket.
What do you think? Is this a pro or con to the future of fashion?
*Though it sounds offensive, I swear it isn't. As of now, I, myself, am a fashion nobody.

When Will It Ever End?
Image: google
This has been a nightmarish week, an honest week from hell. And while I would much love to complain about the details of my life, there are other matters that are more pressing to the fashion world, or the world itself.
As I'm sure we've all been made aware, we have lost one of the most brilliant artistic minds of the time. Since his inception into the fashion world, Alexander McQueen has provided a non-stop flow of inventiveness and creativity that has been the center of attention collection after collection. Will all due respect, Alexander McQueen will be greatly missed.

Will You Rock A Chanel Tat?
image: themidwasteland
There is no denying the fact that Chanel has had a hold on the fashion world for decades. From classic suits to perfume, bags to jewelry, Chanel has dominated the way we understand fashion and style. March 1st us Chanel die hards can don the precious double Cs on our skin. Although they are temporary, I am undecided on my feelings towards these temp tats. What do you think? Will you rock a Chanel tat?
