It's been a long day. Danced twice, ate twice, bubble bathed once, picked through sibling's Halloween candy once. Ahhh. I will be resting steady tonight watching the 20/20 Rihanna interview but Sunday, you know where to find me. The last outdoor Indie Mart of the year. Vintage clothing, local designers, booze, bbq, DIY workshops and live music? All for $2. Yup, that's what I said.

It's a beautiful Friday in San Francisco and all I want to do is head over to Golden Gate Park, lay on the grass and groove to the good tunes at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. With so many things going on around the Bay this weekend--CAL football, LOVEFEST, Dance Party at The Beta Lounge--I'm stretching myself thin!

Before I submit to you yet another excuse (although honestly I'm still lacking inspiration), I will acknowledge that every other blog I've read today offers the same one: school is now is session. Since school has started, and even before that (naturally, in the life of gi), things have been flowing in non-stop. Thursday, after a long day of school, I zoomed back into SF to help out at an event for my internship. SPIN Magazine threw a party for G by Guess and it was fabulous! Loving every minute, it further confirmed that I am headed in the right direction! Plus, my hard work also scored me a ticket to SF Outside Lands. And on continues the busy busy week--but trust me, I am not complaining!
I attended Outside Lands last year and had a complete blast. This year proved no different. Rockin' out to the good tunes of The Morning Benders, Matt and Kim, Atmosphere, M.I.A. and Tenacious D (to name a few)...ahhh. Welcome Back Part 8

First weekend back in town, SPINearth hosted one of their LIVE & LOCAL performances with Ra Ra Riot as a follow up to the band's show with Death Cab For Cutie the night before at Berkeley's Greek Theater. Bright and early on a Sunday morning, loyal fans and the SPINearth crew gathered together for a fun and intimate breakfast picnic/performance in foggy Golden Gate Park.

After the show, I headed over back to my side of the Bay and grubbed on some deee-lic-ious fried chicken salad, strawberry shortcake and frozen lemonade at Bakesale Betty's. Oh my. These pictures do absolutely zero justice to the deliciousness that is Bakesale Betty's. If you ever get the chance to stroll down to North Oakland, pretty please check out this amazing shop. It's impossible to miss: their signature mark is the vintage ironing boards lining the street, each "table" occupied by loyal and happy customers. You will not be disappointed.

You SPIN Me Round

Say hello to SPINearth's newest marketing and development intern, yours truly! Today was my first day in the office and loved every minute of it. In just the few hours I spent today with the SPINearth family, I feel like I've already learned SO much. Plus, I got to listen to good tunes all day. Win-win, right? V. excited to announce that I have purchased my tickets to see Coldplay, my absolute musical favorite, at the Shoreline--my favorite place to see them perform. I have seen them twice already on their X&Y tour and must declare that their show at the Shoreline was by far one of the most amazing musical experiences I've had. There are so many talent artists performing this summer, I can already feel my heart getting rich and my wallet getting emptied. Regardless, you'll know where to find me.

Lily Does It Again

According to Elle UK, Karl has set his sights on my loveliest Lily to be the new face of Chanel handbags. Supposedly a muse to the great K (getting her front row seats to all of his shows, lucky lady) he will photograph Lily himself at the campaign shoot next week. To quote Zoolander, yes, I'm doing it, my favorite Lily looks now to becoming one of my favorite slashies. Oh, what a wonderful world.

F**k You Very Much

A few years ago while perusing the racks in a Paris shop, I overheard Lily Allen's voice on the little stereo for the first time...the song, nearly disgustingly sweet with lyrics anything but, totally grabbed my attention (British accents never hurt either). It was like...Brit pop...gone...edgy? So cliché sounding, I know, but its so true. Behind a high pitched voice and sugary melodies, her lyrics are definitely different than those coming out of Britney's mouth.
My sis, a fellow Lily lover, and I went to the Warfield last night to see Lily play with Natalie Portman's Shaved Head (totally new to me, but I think I'm diggin). The show proved absolutely fab--complete with sequined outfits (Lily), wayyy to intense "dancing" spasms (NPSH) and wine filled drunkness (Lily, again).
Was sooo great, just had to share :)
